Amritsar | 29 September 2026

On 29 September 2026, techcadd conducted an in-person seminar titled “All Over AI” at Satyam Institute of Engineering & Technology in Amritsar. The session looked at the growing influence of artificial intelligence, its applications and its role in industries, digital services, education and professional environments, along with emerging AI opportunities and future-ready technology skills.

The seminar encouraged students to look beyond basic AI concepts, stay curious about technological developments and consider how AI may affect their academic and career paths. Its themes were continuous learning, digital skills, innovation, adaptability and AI awareness.

AI across industries

  • EducationAI assistants explain concepts and help draft work; the benefit depends on whether the learner still does the thinking.
  • Digital servicesBanks, shops, transport and government services use AI for support, verification and personalisation.
  • Industry and engineeringQuality inspection, predictive maintenance, monitoring, optimisation and code review.
  • Professional workSummarising, drafting and data cleaning can be assisted — judgement and checking matter more.

Looking beyond basic AI concepts

  • Level one: use tools sensibly — check output, avoid sharing confidential data and follow your institute’s rules.
  • Level two: understand how they work — data, training, testing, overfitting and evaluation, with basic Python and statistics.
  • Level three: build something small — train a simple model or connect an AI service to an application, and document it.
  • Level four: specialise — data analytics, ML engineering, edge AI, computer vision or AI in your own branch.

Future-ready skills for engineering students

Branch fundamentals remain the most transferable asset: AI tools work best in the hands of people who understand the underlying subject. Add programming and data handling, critical thinking and verification, clear communication and a weekly habit of learning.

A twelve-week plan after an AI seminar

  • Weeks one to three: basic Python through small exercises.
  • Weeks four to six: data handling and simple statistics with a public dataset.
  • Weeks seven to nine: introductory machine learning and a simple model.
  • Weeks ten to twelve: one small project with a short write-up and feedback from a teacher or practitioner.

Responsible and honest use of AI

Follow your institute’s policy on AI, record how you used a tool, verify important claims and be honest about what you built yourself.

“AI tends to change parts of jobs rather than replace whole professions overnight.”
