Rajpura–Banur

Aryans Group of Colleges, on the Chandigarh–Patiala Highway between Rajpura and Banur in Punjab, hosted a workshop on “The Future of Artificial Intelligence (AI)” in association with techcadd. The event introduced students from a range of academic streams to emerging AI developments and their real-world applications.

A key highlight was a live demonstration of the AI-powered Unitree Go2 Pro robot, “Chi Chi”, whose intelligent movements and real-time responsiveness gave attendees a visible example of robotics in action. techcadd experts shared perspectives on AI, machine learning, automation and robotics, and how these fields may influence future careers.

Students from every stream

Participants came from engineering, law, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, paramedical, MBA, BBA, BCA and other technical streams. The session concluded with an interactive discussion on career opportunities in AI and emerging technologies, and Aryans Group appointed AI student coordinators as part of its focus on innovation, leadership and future-ready education.

What students can learn from an AI workshop

  • AI is a broad fieldMethods for perception, language, prediction and decision support — not a single tool or language.
  • AI, ML and robotics differML learns from data; robotics combines sensors, control and software. They overlap but are not identical.
  • Automation, responsiblyWhich steps are repetitive, which need human judgement, and what happens when a system errs.

A beginner-friendly roadmap for learning AI

  • Build Python foundations: conditions, loops, functions, debugging.
  • Learn data handling with pandas and NumPy.
  • Study statistics, probability and evaluation metrics.
  • Understand supervised vs unsupervised learning, train/test splits and overfitting.
  • Create a small, honestly documented project.
  • Explore robotics through electronics, sensors or safe simulation.
  • Practise responsible AI: privacy, bias, reliability and safety.

AI and robotics career pathways

  • Data analyst or data scientist
  • Machine learning engineer
  • AI application developer
  • Robotics or automation engineer
  • Computer vision developer
  • AI research or postgraduate study

Turning a demonstration into learning

After seeing a robot move, ask what it senses, what the software decides and how movement is controlled. Then investigate one idea — sensors, feedback loops, a small image-classification experiment — and build a simple, testable project.

“Follow curiosity with practice: investigate, test a small idea, document it and seek feedback.”

The workshop connected technology awareness with questions about skills, further learning and possible career directions.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What was the workshop called?

“The Future of Artificial Intelligence (AI).”

What was the main highlight?

A live demonstration of the AI-powered Unitree Go2 Pro robot, “Chi Chi”.

Which areas were discussed?

Artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation and robotics.

Is robotics the same as artificial intelligence?

No. Robotics involves physical systems and control; AI covers a broader range of computational tasks. The two can overlap.
